Methodological approach to assessing the management and organizational potential of the competitiveness of business structures in the energy sector as a dominant management decision
Анотація
This article presents a methodological approach to assessing the managerial and organizational potential for competitiveness of business entities in the energy sector. The relevance of this research stems from the strategic role of the energy sector in ensuring economic security, the continuity of production processes, infrastructure restoration, and the development of entrepreneurship amid an unstable external environment, intensifying competitive pressure, digitalization, decarbonization, and the transformation of energy markets. It has been determined that the competitive resilience of business entities in the energy sector is shaped not only by production, financial, and market factors but also depends to a significant extent on the quality of management, the effectiveness of the organizational structure, the coherence of management decisions, the autonomy of departments, decentralization, and the adaptability of the management system. The proposed methodological approach involves an integrative analysis of the impact of managerial and organizational potential on the production, financial, market-service, and social-partnership components of competitive resilience. The feasibility of combining tactical and strategic levels of assessment is demonstrated, thereby aligning current management actions with long-term goals for competitive development. The rationale for using coefficients of determination and elasticity to establish the strength and nature of the impact of managerial and organizational parameters on specific indicators of competitive resilience is explained. The assessment results demonstrate that they can be used to classify levels of competitive resilience and identify management gaps in enterprise operations. The practical significance of the study lies in establishing an analytical framework for identifying opportunities to develop managerial and organizational potential, justifying managerial decisions, and determining priority areas for strengthening the competitive positions of business entities in the energy sector. Keywords: managerial and organizational potential, competitiveness, business entities, energy sector, methodological approach, strategic management level, tactical management level.
