FEATURES OF MODERN FASCISM AND ITS ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES: PAST AND PRESENT
Анотація
The article examines the essence of fascism as a political and economic phenomenon. The events in Ukraine over the last three years have made the world talk again about the existence of fascism and its threat to the democratic world. The presence of characteristic features of fascism in the modern totalitarian regime of the government of the Russian Federation is emphasized. The essence of fascism as a political doctrine is considered. The conclusion is made that this is one of the manifestations of the totalitarian regime of state administration. Attention is focused on the modern interpretation of this phenomenon in the world. The evolution of this concept is largely connected with the policy of the Russian Federation in the 21st century. The emergence of a new concept of racism is emphasized, which, in practice, is one of the manifestations of modern fascism. As a result of studying the political manifestations of totalitarian regimes, the main characteristic features of fascism are highlighted. In particular, the following components of fascism are described: the cult of tradition, the denial of modernity, action for the sake of action, disagreement is tantamount to treason, xenophobia, mass irritation, nationalism, and conspiracy ideas, a contradictory image of the enemy, the cult of war, the cult of power and authority, the cult of heroism and death, the cult of courage, selective populism, newspeak and the substitution of concepts. The manifestations of these components in the times of fascist Italy and Nazi Germany and the modern Russian Federation are analyzed. Special emphasis is placed on the lack of freedom of speech and the nominal nature of the electoral system. The conclusion is made that there are a significant number of common characteristics of fascist regimes and the modern system of governance in Russia. The presence of a distinctive economic component of fascist regimes and its impact on the world economy is emphasized. The economic basis for the emergence of fascism in the modern Russian Federation is determined. The main reason is called unsuccessful economic reforms in the 90s of the twentieth century. The main economic features of racism are described. The presence of state corporatism, an oligarchy controlled by a dictator, and the minimization of foreign economic relations are mentioned.
