THE ACTIVITY OF COLLECTIVE INVESTMENT INSTITUTIONS IN UKRAINE: CURRENT STATE AND TRENDS

The article analyzes and defines the essence of the concept of «joint venture».The state of the market of joint investment institutions in Ukraine is investigated.The analysis of quantity and quality of activity of the asset management companies is made.The current state of the financial market of Ukraine is analyzed, in particular, the activity of joint venture institutions, the dynamics of growth of asset management companies is considered.The analysis of the profitability of investing funds in different directions.The problems of formation of the investment funds market are identified.The essence and structure of joint investment institutions of Ukraine as an element of the Ukrainian investment market are determined.Mutual investment institutions are investment funds whose sole activity is to invest in various sectors of the economy in order to obtain and distribute profits among investors.It is difficult to overestimate the value of co-investment institutions for Ukraine, since in terms of investors, they have a much higher return than traditional ways of investing.Also, much less time is spent on investment management.Pooling funds from multiple investors allows you to enter the stock market and take advantage of large institutional investors, including the ability to promptly withdraw funds when needed.One of the important problems of mutual investment institutions today is the general imperfection of the stock market: the prevalence of the unorganized market over the organized; the existence of several trading venues where securities are traded, which complicates control over these transactions; low stock market liquidity; small number of securities traded on the stock exchange, limited stock market instruments; manipulation of market participants in order to overestimate the value of net assets of investment funds, etc.The external and internal problems of the market of joint investment institutions are identified.Prospective ways of their solution are suggested.In general, the following measures should be taken to address these problems of joint venture institutions and the stock market: improving existing legislation by aligning it with European norms.
