CENTERS OF FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY IN TRANSPORT AND FORWARDING COMPANIES

The article is devoted to the study of financial responsibility centers in transport and forwarding companies. Transportation and forwarding activities and services are an integral part of business and foreign economic activity, transportation, and logistics.An overview of scientific opinion on management using responsibility centers is provided. The basic principles of management by responsibility centers are formulated. They are: decentralization of management, autonomy of responsibility centers, measura-bility of results, unity of interests, motivation, and feedback. Five stages of the process of implementing a management system based on responsibility centers are identified. They are: defining centers of responsibility, developing an accounting and control system, implementing a direct costing system, automating processes, motivating and incentivizing staff.The advantages and disadvantages of creating financial responsibility centers and their four main types – revenue centers, expense centers, profit centers, and investment centers – are considered. Financial responsibility centers are a powerful tool for improving the efficiency of a company's financial resource management. They contribute to better cost control, increased employee responsibility andmotivation, as well as more accurate analysis and planning. However, the implementation and management of a system of financial responsibility centers requires significant effort and resources and can also lead to certain difficulties and risks. The scientific problems and features of organizing financial responsibility centers in freight forwarding companies have been identified. Competent use of financial responsibility centers, taking into account all their features and possible problems, will allow freight forwarding companies to achieve significant progress in managing their resources and increase the overall efficiency of their business.Effective organization of financial responsibility centers in a freight forwarding company ensures improved control, increased customer focus and competitiveness, and lays the foundation for long-term development of the enterprise.Keywords:financial responsibility centers (FRCs), freight forwarding companies (FFCs), advantages and disadvantages of creating FRCsin FFCs.
