Abstract. In the context of the dynamic development of the construction market, strategic innovations play a crucial role in ensuring the competitiveness of enterprises. This abstract explores the ontological foundation and economic essence of strategic innovations within the life and operational cycles of construction companies. Defining strategic innovations, their role, and their impact on various stages of a company's life cycle is essential for achieving sustainable development. The life cycle of construction companies includes stages from ideation and design to the implementation and completion of construction, as well as the subsequent operation of facilities. Strategic innovations introduced at each of these stages can significantly enhance resource management efficiency, optimize processes, and ensure flexibility in responding to market changes. In our work, we analyze how strategic innovations interact with the economic aspects of construction enterprises. The study examines the impact of innovations on productivity enhancement, cost reduction, improvement of service quality and competitiveness, as well as the formation of new business models. Special attention is given to the analysis of risks and uncertainties associated with the implementation of innovative strategies and their effect on the life cycle of enterprises. In particular, strategic innovations may include the introduction of new technologies, management approaches, construction methods, as well as changes in the processes of interaction with clients and suppliers. Innovative strategies not only improve internal operational processes but also enable construction companies to adapt flexibly to changes in market conditions. The research also highlights the importance of investing in innovations to develop human capital, improve staff qualifications, and create conditions for high labor productivity. Thus, the study of the ontological foundation and economic essence of strategic innovations reveals their potential in achieving success in the construction market, which is crucial for the further development of the industry and ensuring its sustainability.
