LIVING CONDITIONS OF CHILDREN FROM ORPHANAGES IN THE CONTEXT OF POST-WAR RECOVERY IN 1945 - AT THE BEGINNING OF THE 1950S (BY THE MATERIALS OF THE UKRAINIAN SOVIET SOCIALIST REPUBLIC)
Анотація
The purpose of the article is to study the living conditions of children from orphanages in the context of post-war recovery. As a result of the research, the author comes to the conclusion that the vast majority of children from orphanages lived in unsatisfactory conditions. Post-war dislocation, loss of human resources, specificity of children as a social stratum of the society, and so on can be singled out among the reasons for this situation. At the same time, orphanages in the post-war period became the main alternative and support for orphans without parental care and shelter.
