MODERN REALITIES OF BULGARIA’S FOREIGN TRADE

At the present stage, a significant change in economic processes is exerted by new (mainly institutional — coronavirus, economic sanctions, etc.) factors. The object of their impact is primarily the national economy, but naturally this impact is felt by the foreign economic sector of each country and the world economy as a whole. In this context, the characteristics of the ongoing changes in the foreign trade of each country are of interest. Foreign trade quite visibly and convincingly reflects changes in the internal economic processes of countries and can contribute to the resolution of existing internal economic contradictions. As a concretization and illustration of the current state of foreign trade, Bulgaria’s foreign trade was chosen. The article presents data on the current level and dynamics of foreign trade turnover, volumes of exports and imports, specific examples of the foreign trade commodity group of Bulgaria. The dynamics of these indicators is given for the period 2013 – 2020 based on the use of Bulgarian statistical sources.
