Regarding to the Concept of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Digitalization in Ukraine: Problems and Solutions
Анотація
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the main driving force of economic and social well-being of all economies in the world. The emergence of the digital economy has the potential to stimulate innovation, increase productivity and improve the quality of life in society. However, most domestic SMEs are lagging behind in digital development, while losing potential advantages in productivity and competitiveness. The "digital divide" in SMEs leads to widening inequalities among citizens, firms and locations. The article considers the main structural indicators of SME activity in the countries of the European Union (EU), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Ukraine and Ternopil region. Problematic issues have been raised regarding the unification of approaches to business classification, its digitalization and the correct way to obtain quantitative indicators of digital transformation of SMEs through the calculation of the HIT index. A system of solutions for the most effective implementation of the process of digitalization of SMEs at the state level is proposed.
