Digital Tools for Monitoring Economic Risks in Environmental Management Systems
Анотація
Summary The paper examines the role of digital tools in monitoring economic risks within environmental management systems under conditions of accelerating digital transformation and increasing ESG requirements. The study substantiates the growing financial significance of environmental risks for enterprises and highlights the limitations of traditional monitoring approaches characterized by data fragmentation, time lags, and low predictive capability. The methodological framework integrates system analysis, comparative assessment, and statistical evaluation of Ukrainian and global environmental indicators for 2019–2024. The research identifies key technological drivers of effective risk monitoring, including IoT-based data collection, Big Data analytics, artificial intelligence, and ESG analytical platforms. The results demonstrate that the implementation of digital solutions significantly reduces risk detection time, improves forecasting accuracy, and enhances the economic resilience of enterprises. Particular attention is paid to the interpretation of Ukrainian statistical data, which reveals structural volatility of environmental indicators and the need for integrated digital dashboards. The paper concludes that the transition to data-driven environmental risk management forms a new paradigm of proactive, real-time monitoring and provides practical recommendations for enterprises seeking to strengthen sustainability-oriented risk governance.
