RISK-ORIENTED METHODS FOR ENHANCING THE INVESTMENT ATTRACTIVENESS OF A METALLURGICAL ENTERPRISE IN THE POST-CRISIS ECONOMY (BASED ON ROBUST INDICES)
Анотація
Introduction. The operation of metallurgical enterprises in the post-crisis economy is accompanied by high environmental volatility caused by the combined effects of pandemic consequences, energy imbalances, logistics disruptions, and geopolitical challenges. Under such conditions, traditional methods for assessing investment attractiveness fail to provide sufficient accuracy because they mainly focus on static financial parameters and insufficiently account for enterprise shock resilience, managerial behavioral risks, and the ability to adapt to alternative development scenarios. Materials and methods. The methodological framework combines systemic, scenario-based, economic-statistical, index, and comparative approaches. The empirical basis includes official corporate financial statements, statistical data, industry analytical materials, and the results of the author’s modeling. Results and discussion. A multi-component methodology is proposed that makes it possible not only to determine the level of investment attractiveness but also to identify the critical areas constraining its growth. The scientific novelty lies in combining robust scenario analysis, neural forecasting, and a behavioral component within a single managerial assessment model. The approbation of the approach using metallurgical enterprises of Zaporizhzhia showed that financial stability and market position exert the strongest positive influence on investment attractiveness, whereas insufficient risk resilience remains the main limiting factor. It is proved that even with acceptable financial and operational characteristics, inadequate preparedness for shocks reduces the integral enterprise assessment from the perspective of potential investors. Conclusions. The proposed approach advances the methodological basis for assessing the investment attractiveness of industrial enterprises in a post-crisis environment and improves the analytical usefulness of results for managerial decision-making. The practical value of the methodology lies in the possibility of its application for comparative enterprise ranking, identification of weak points in the risk profile, and development of adaptive programs to enhance investment attractiveness. Further research should be directed toward extending the observation horizon, testing the stability of weight coefficients, and constructing confidence intervals for the integral index.
