Resource potential of agricultural enterprises as an object of strategic management

Introduction. The contemporary development of the agricultural sector is characterized by the increasing influence of global, institutional, and intra-industry factors that significantly complicate the operating conditions of agricultural enterprises. Climate change, instability of market conditions, limited financial resources, demographic challenges, and wartime risks actualize the problem of rational use and long-term reproduction of resources. Methods (Methodology). The preparation of the article is based on the application of general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis to generalize theoretical approaches to interpreting the resource potential of agricultural enterprises as an object of strategic management. Systemic and structural-functional approaches are employed to examine the composition of resource potential, the interrelations between its elements, and their role in shaping strategic development goals of enterprises. Comparative, abstract-logical, and economic-statistical methods are used to analyze scientific concepts and substantiate managerial conclusions aimed at improving the effectiveness of strategic management of resource potential. Results. The study substantiates the interpretation of the resource potential of agricultural enterprises as an integral object of strategic management that encompasses interrelated land, material and technical, labor, financial, and informational resources and forms the basis for long-term competitive advantages. The expediency of applying a systemic approach to strategic management of resource potential is proven, which involves coordinated formation, utilization, and reproduction of resources, taking into account synergistic effects, investment support, risk management, and digitalization of managerial processes. The significance of institutional and market conditions of the agricultural sector is identified as a key prerequisite for enhancing competitiveness, economic resilience, and sustainable development of agricultural enterprises.
