Improving the tools for logistical adaptation of business structures to uncertainty factors
Анотація
Modern business activities operate amid extremely high uncertainty, as evidenced by supply chain disruptions, infrastructure instability, and security risks. Traditional approaches to logistics, focused on minimizing costs, no longer meet the challenges of an unstable environment, where the system’s ability to quickly adapt becomes more important than savings. This leads to an objective need to develop an adaptive logistics support mechanism that moves from a fragmented response to threats to a holistic model of enterprise sustainability management. The purpose of the study is to scientifically substantiate and develop a conceptual model of this mechanism that integrates risk diagnostics, resource readiness, digital support, and partner coordination to ensure the continuity of business processes. The paper clarifies the essence of the adaptive mechanism as a set of management actions and digital tools that transform logistics into a strategic factor for maintaining competitiveness. The approach is based on the synergy among flexibility, adaptability, and the coherence of actions by all participants in the logistics process. The proposed model includes eight key components: from diagnostic and analytical to control and corrective, each of which performs a specific function – from monitoring vulnerabilities to implementing alternative routes and diversifying suppliers. The mechanism is presented as a continuous cycle that involves the ongoing identification of sources of uncertainty, resource mobilization, and organizational learning from experience gained. This allows the enterprise not only to recover from failures but also to proactively change its behavior before a crisis. To assess the effectiveness of the mechanism, a set of indicators has been developed covering operational, time, risk, digital, and partner parameters. Emphasis is placed on indicators such as recovery time after a disruption, data transparency, and the number of alternative counterparties. The practical significance of the study lies in formulating recommendations to increase the resilience of Ukrainian enterprises, particularly by developing information and digital support and coordinating with partners under conditions of military uncertainty.
