Logistics of cabotage transportation in the system of domestic transport flows

Анотація

The purpose of the article is to substantiate the role and peculiarities of cabotage transportation logistics under the conditions of martial law and large-scale disruption of transport infrastructure in Ukraine. The research is based on the application of systemic, structural-functional, comparative, and logistical analysis methods, which enabled the assessment of the transformation of internal freight flows and the adaptation of logistics systems to high-risk environments. The essence of cabotage transportation is revealed as an essential instrument for ensuring the continuity of domestic supply chains, redistributing cargo between regions, and reducing empty runs in conditions of limited international routes and blocked seaports. Special attention is paid to the impact of military risks on the organization of transport operations, including the need for flexible routing, the development of alternative logistics corridors, the strengthening of safety requirements, and the use of digital monitoring systems. The article analyzes the role of cabotage transportation in ensuring the delivery of critical goods, humanitarian aid, and industrial resources, and in supporting the operation of regional logistics hubs. The significance of digitalization, transport management systems, GPS tracking, and electronic documentation for increasing transparency and controllability of transportation processes is substantiated. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the integrated consideration of cabotage logistics as a component of national supply chain resilience under wartime conditions. The practical value of the results lies in their applicability to developing state transport policy, optimizing internal logistics routes, and improving crisis management mechanisms in the transport sector. Prospects for further research include developing sustainable models for domestic transportation and implementing international best practices in post-war reconstruction.
