Components of introducing climate-neutral innovations into agricultural nature management for strengthening environmental and energy security

One of the imperatives of economic adaptation to climate change is to involve the agricultural sector in addressing the challenges of transition to a carbon-neutral future. This necessitates the application of an innovative approach to adaptation planning of business processes of agricultural enterprises. Given this, the article is devoted to generalising the features of the transition to climate-neutral management of agricultural natural resources, the role of agro-energy clusters in the strategic development of regions on the basis of smart specialisation, and identifying the components of the mechanism for introducing climate-neutral innovations into agricultural nature management for strengthening environmental and energy security. Among the priority carbon-neutral areas in agricultural nature management, the development and introduction of technologies for growing energy crops that sequester carbon and, at the same time, produce oxygen and biomass for the production of carbon-neutral products, including biofuels, is highlighted. In this context, the formation of agro-energy clusters is seen as a way to develop smart specialisation in the regions, which directly involves strengthening the strategic positioning of the region through the development of the most favourable sectors of the economy. The article describes the levels of influence on the creation of agro-energy clusters. Among the components of the mechanism for implementing climate-neutral innovations in agricultural nature management to strengthen environmental and energy security are the following: application of a system-synergistic approach to agricultural nature management to ensure the implementation of the principles of circular resource use; realisation of the principles of climate neutrality and resource efficiency; climate management as a way to introduce climate-neutral innovations in agricultural nature management; integration of Industry 5.0 technology to optimise the agricultural nature management system on the basis of climate neutrality; development of the bioenergy market; identification of indicators of the effectiveness of implementing climate-neutral innovations in agricultural nature management to strengthen environmental and energy security. Decarbonisation in various areas is achieved through the introduction of climate-neutral innovations. An integral part of this process is the introduction of climate-neutral innovations in agricultural nature management to strengthen national environmental and energy security. In view of this, the prospects for further research are to assess the directions of functioning of the mechanism for introducing climate-neutral innovations in agricultural nature management.
