High Engineering Education as a Component of the System of Human Capital Development

Анотація

The paper presents the results of investigations of the of studying the role of higher education and higher engineering education in accelerating the accumulation of human capital at the micro-, meso- and macro levels, what is a prerequisite for building a fundamental knowledge economy in the country. The forms of influence of higher engineering education on the speed of the processes of accumulation of human capital are determined. The main vectors of development of higher education in Ukraine during the period of its independence are indicated. Legislative initiatives of Ukraine aimed at strengthening the positive influence of higher education development trends on the processes of human capital accumulation are systematized. The key directions of the strategic development of higher engineering education of Ukraine are substantiated.
