Administrative management of the production potential of agricultural enterprises: theoretical aspect
Анотація
Introduction. The formation of an effective management system for the production potential of agricultural enterprises is a key task in modern agrarian management. Under conditions of resource constraints, climate change, increasing competition, and wartime risks, the issue of efficient utilisation of potential becomes particularly relevant. A theoretical understanding of the essence of production potential, its structure, principles of formation and management enables the development of scientifically grounded mechanisms to enhance the efficiency of agrarian enterprises. Management of production potential in the agricultural sector has several specific characteristics associated with the natural unevenness of resources, seasonality, the biological nature of production processes, high dependency on weather conditions, and regional variations. These features shape a unique research domain and require the adaptation of management decisions to the realities of economic activity. Methodology. The research methodology is based on systemic-structural and functional approaches, allowing the production potential to be considered as a holistic and dynamic system. Methods of logical generalisation, deduction, and induction were applied to formulate theoretical provisions on administrative management. Content analysis and historical-logical methods were used to analyse the conceptual framework and the evolution of scientific perspectives. Theoretical justification of the principles and functions of administrative management was conducted using an interdisciplinary approach combining management, economics, and organisational theory. Results. The theoretical foundations of managing the production potential of agricultural enterprises lay the groundwork for building an effective management system in the agrarian sector. Understanding the multidimensional structure of potential, combining classical and innovative approaches to its assessment and management, and adapting to conditions of uncertainty and change are essential for ensuring sustainable agricultural development. The analysis shows that effective management of potential is possible only through an integrated approach that considers all types of resources – land, technical, labour, organisational, and intellectual. Such integration ensures systemic efficiency in enterprise operations, enhances their flexibility, innovation capacity, and adaptability to external challenges.
