THE ESTABLISHMENT OF SOVIET POWER IN THE DOLYNSHCHYNA AT THE END OF 1945: NEW DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE

Анотація

The purpose of the article is to publish and analyze the underground document “Dolynshchyna. Two-week review of events from 25.X. to 13.XI. 1945” as a source for studying the history of the establishment of the Bolshevik regime and resistance to the Soviet occupation authorities in the western Ukrainian lands, in particular in the Dolyna district of the Stanislav region. The research methodology is based on generally accepted principles of scientificity, objectivity, historicism, methods of external and internal criticism of sources. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that a hitherto unknown document about everyday life in the Dolyna district of the Stanislav region in October – November 1945 is being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time, and its analysis is being carried out. Conclusions. Therefore, the published document (“Dolynshchyna. Two-week overview of events from 25.X. to 13.XI. 1945”) is an important source for studying the history of everyday life of the villagers of the Dolynsky district of the Stanislav region. It is stored in the Branch State Archive of the SBU (fund 13, volume 81, file 376, sheet 352–355). This document included information reports on the establishment of the Bolshevik occupation regime in the Dolyna district in October – November 1945 and the repression of the Soviet authorities against the local peasants. Also, in the document, the compiler indicates the methods of propaganda used by the Bolshevik authorities to fight against the Ukrainian revolutionary movement. The document was signed on November 21, 1945. In the publication, the author’s and editorial features of the source, geographical names, surnames and names of persons have been preserved as much as possible. Only the most obvious grammatical errors were subject to correction.
