Factors that Shape Business Efficiency in the Conditions of the War
Анотація
The global changes taking place in modern social life that create challenges and obstacles to the development of entrepreneurship: increased global competition, the COVID-19 pandemic, Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine and a range of other unresolved armed conflicts in the world, and environmental problems. The results of research on the activity of Ukrainian businesses and trends in the dynamics of their financial results in the period 2018-2023 and under the influence of the war are presented. The classification of factors affecting the financial results of Ukrainian enterprises is made: loss of suppliers, low level of effective demand, unpredictability of the situation in Ukraine and in the market, problems with exports, loss of labour resources due to migration and mobilisation, lack of capital, credit problems, high taxes.It is proved that establishing interdependencies between the factors of influence and the results of enterprises’ activities; assessing the degree of influence of factors and forecasting their dynamics under different scenarios will help to substantiate management decisions aimed at improving efficiency and overcoming socio-economic challenges.
