IDENTIFICATION AND EVALUATION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS OF THE UKRAINE TRANSPORT SYSTEM

 ЕКОНОМІКА ТА УПРАВЛІННЯ НАЦІОНАЛЬНИМ ГОСПОДАРСТВОМThe concept of "sustainable transport" as transport, which provides social and economic benefits while minimizing the adverse impact on society, the economy and the environment is identified in article.The concept of a "sustainable transport system" as a system that gives access to it to individuals and legal entities in a safe and consistent manner in accordance with human health, ecosystem needs, and meets the needs of current generations, leaving future generations with the opportunity to meet their needs, and offers a choice of safe vehicles, limiting emissions and waste, contributing to noise reduction, and reducing non-renewable consumption, consumption and reuse of renewable resources is also considered.The following factors that influence the destabilization of the processes of sustainable development of the transport system have been identified and investigated: the volumes of emissions of the main pollutants, the number of accidents, the number of victims in road accidents, the volumes of shipment (transportation) of goods by motor transport and the total number of population, using the methods of statistical analysis.The EU indicators in the field of sustainable development of the transport system (share of energy consumption in transport in the total GDP, distribution of transport tasks in freight traffic, distribution of transport tasks in passenger transport, greenhouse gas emissions by vehicles, emissions from transport overload accidents, emissions of vehicles) are analysed in this study and also the prerequisites of forming a similar system of indicators taking into account social, economic and environmental aspects to control the sustainable development of transport at the state level are investigated.Using the methods of factor analysis, the directions of sustainable development of the motor transport industry of Ukraine were estimated.A system of indicators for sustainable development of road transport in the regional dimension has been developed, which includes the characteristics of the transport system, mobility, the impact of transport, and ways of its integration into the national system of indicators have been proposed.The developed system of indicators will allow to coordinate the sustainable development of vehicles by maintaining optimal values of indicators in key areas.
