The introduction of an environmental management system requires the attraction of quite significant resources from the enterprise due to the need to develop documentation of various levels and implement basic procedures.For domestic road transport enterprises, such an innovation is atypical, and therefore there is an extremely urgent problem of developing various types of documentation, procedures and recommendations for their implementation, as determined by the DSTU ISO 14001-2006 standard.The aim of the study was to improve the environmental safety of the motor transport enterprise by ensuring the implementation and effective functioning of the environmental management system.Methods.For the implementation and effective functioning of the environmental management system in order to improve the environmental safety of motor transport enterprises, as well as the vehicles they serve, a modern approach has been developed to take into account the priorities of environmental protection in the planning and implementation of enterprise activities.The effectiveness of the implementation of the environmental management system is considered through the investment attractiveness of the enterprise, which makes it possible to reduce insurance costs and the cost of loans, consistently reduce the negative impact of the vehicle maintenance process on the environment and human health throughout the entire life cycle, improve the quality of not only services but also the enterprise as a whole, thereby expanding its competitive capabilities.Results.In the course of the study, recommendations were formed to increase the reduction of energy consumption, environmental pollution and ensure the effective functioning of the environmental management system at the motor transport enterprise.Scientific novelty.Substantiation of the management strategy that determines the planning, implementation and realization of the main stages in accordance with the requirements of DSTU ISO 14001:2015, taking into account the peculiarities of the production process of the motor transport enterprise.Practical significance.The practical significance of the results obtained is to determine the methodological recommendations and approaches to the implementation of individual stages of the environmental management system at the motor transport enterprise.
