GLOBAL ECONOMY: IMPACT OF INDUSTRY 5.0 FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

The thesis explores the impact of Industry 5.0 on ensuring sustainable economic development in the context of globalization. It stidies the key principles of Industry 5.0, particularly its focus on synergy between humans and technologies, the use of artificial intelligence, robotics, and sustainable innovations to address social, economic, and environmental challenges. Special attention is given to analyzing how the integration of Industry 5.0 concepts contributes to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly through improving energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and implementing a circular economy. The research highlights the role of a human-centered approach aimed at preserving jobs, developing human potential, and improving the quality of life. The practical part of the thesis includes an analysis of the impact of Industry 5.0 on the economic development of countries with varying levels of economic advancement and provides recommendations for integrating cutting-edge technologies into national economic strategies. The research findings demonstrate that Industry 5.0 creates new opportunities for achieving sustainable development by harmonizing technological progress and socio-economic well-being. The purpose of the paper is to study the influence of the concept of Industry 5.0 on the sustainable development of the economy in the conditions of globalization. Methodology of the study is based on general research methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, observation and abstraction, which are used to systematise achievements in the theory and practice. To achieve this purpose, an empirical method was used – to collect and analyze statistical data reflecting the impact of Industry 5.0 on global economic processes; analysis and synthesis – to systematize theoretical approaches to studying the concept of Industry 5.0 and its impact on economic processes; historical-logical method – for researching the evolution of industrial revolutions and the prerequisites for the emergence of Industry 5.0; comparative analysis – to determine the differences between Industry 5.0 and previous stages of industrial revolutions; systemic approach – to consider the interrelationships between technological innovation, social change and sustainable economic development.
