Multi-service Platform for Humanitarian Assistance to Residents of Affected and Dangerous Regions: The Kharkiv Exprience of Implementation

The article describes a multi-service platform, designed to optimize the operations of various volunteer organizations, using the needs of a volunteer team assisting residents of liberated territories in the Kharkiv region as a case study. The platform manages key functions, including "Acceptance," "Processing," and "Sending" of humanitarian aid requests. The article covers domain analysis, problem definition, requirements specification, and the development of CRM software using JavaScript, Java, and Angular (TypeScript). The MVC pattern is employed, and Hibernate is used for database management. Hibernate facilitates efficient data management, while Docker supports optimized deployment. Particular attention is given to the "Processing" function, which relies on a complex algorithm to determine the nearest humanitarian hub. During the platform’s operational phase, insights gained led to optimizations that improved the "Processing" function and the overall effectiveness of the solution.
