Clinical Effectiveness as a Key Measure of Achieving Evidence-Based Outcomes in Medical Research
Анотація
Introduction. The relevance of this study is based on the disclosure of a scientifically based methodology of evidence-based medicine, where clinical effectiveness is a key criterion for assessing the achievement of the expected medical outcome of the studied intervention in real conditions of space and time, which, in fact, reflects the evolutionary development in the implementation of medical research in conditions of limited financial resources and the desire to achieve world standards, while ensuring the receipt of reliable and scientifically based results for implementation in medical practice. The aim of the study. Reformatting the scientific and methodological outlook of scientists from medicine to clinical effectiveness as a conceptual change in medical science through the assessment of achieving the expected evidence-based outcome. Materials and methods. An epidemiological, one-step, continuous, scientific study of the available and accessible array of scientific and information sources was carried out using several scientific bibliographic and medical biostatistical methods, taking into account the principles of systematicity. Results. The necessity of transformation of the consciousness of the researcher from medicine to the scientific and methodological approach at the fourth stage of the research plan for the implementation of clinical effectiveness assessment methods is substantiated. The article argues the meaning of the term ''clinical effectiveness'' in the context of scientific medical research. This provides a motivated analysis and examples of calculation and interpretation of the main clinical effectiveness coefficients, as well as characterises their types. This is what directs the scientific outlook and reasoning of the researcher to the methodology of evidence-based medicine, which will ultimately ensure the receipt of reliable, provable and practically significant scientific medical evidence in real-time and space conditions, which will be confirmed by biostatistical values of clinical effectiveness coefficients. Conclusion. The results of the study demonstrate that clinical effectiveness is an important transformation in medical science, which directs the researcher's scientific thinking towards the methodology of evidence-based medicine, which confirms the natural perfection of the study due to the evidence obtained and its real practical significance, which in turn will have a direct impact on improving medical practice and ensuring high quality of medical services.
