STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS OF UKRAINE’S EXPORT STRATEGY FORMATION

Анотація

Export is crucial to the country’s development. Nowadays, the development of high-tech exports and imports and the creative industry should be the priority of the new economic model. The purpose of the study is to analyze the available export strategy and create a methodology for assessing export potential and determining areas for the export potential. The research methodology is based on general research methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, observation and abstraction, which were used to systematize the achievements of theory and practice of foreign economic activity, assessment of export potential, customs policy of Ukraine, etc. As a result, the strategic development directions of Ukraine’s export strategy and the main factors influencing the formation of industrial potential are specified. To identify the regional import dependence, it is proposed to use the coefficient of import dependence (consumption of imports per capita). By relying on the analysis of the export potential of Ukraine, it is noted that its growth is possible due to increased production and supply and reduced production and service costs in the consumer’s country. The development of export potential should be carried out given the Industry 4.0 requirements and by increasing the export of products with high added value. It is established that the current priority is the safety of human life and health, which is impossible without an effective public health system, provision of appropriate medical services, protection of socially vulnerable groups, a safe environment and access to drinking water and sanitation, safe and quality food and industrial goods. It is advisable to amend the future Marshall Plan in terms of the export strategy, considering the existing destruction and planned investments.
