Processes of Social Structuring in Contemporary Ukraine
Анотація
The Marxist sociology that was developed in the USSR, which still has many adherents in the USSR's successor states, treats social structure as the interconnections and interaction of groups of individuals [1] or as an aggregate of strata [2]; that is, it is viewed as essentially the equivalent of stratification. In such an interpretation, analysis of social structure is reduced to a description of the group (stratum, class) structure of society. Moreover, this approach declares class division to be the most essential and hence the dominant division, one with universal explanatory power. It is assumed that almost everything, from geopolitical realities to everyday interactions among people, can be reduced to class division and the class interests of the subjects [sub " ekty] of social processes.
