FEATURES OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT IN COMPETENCE-BASED ORGANIZATIONS

Анотація

The article examines the features of project management in competent organizations as a key factor in ensuring competitiveness in a dynamic business environment. Modern organizations increasingly operate in project-oriented structures, which actualizes the need for high levels of professional competence among personnel, rapid managerial decision-making capabilities, and effective resource coordination. In this context, the formation of competent organizations based on systematic development of employee knowledge, skills, and experience as critical factors for successful project implementation becomes particularly significant. The conceptual foundations of organizational competence in project management are analyzed, integrating strategic alignment, management processes, personnel competencies, and organizational environment. It is demonstrated that organizational competence in project management represents a systemic characteristic that extends beyond individual competencies of project managers and encompasses organizational infrastructure, methodologies, resources, and culture. The key features of project-oriented competent organization functioning are identified, with methodological flexibility substantiated as its critical characteristic. Major project management methodologies are examined, and the necessity of their contextual application according to project specifics is argued. The role of the project management office as a center of organizational competence and catalyst for project practice development is substantiated. It is proven that successful project management requires integration of methodologies, digital technologies, organizational culture, and systematic competence development of personnel, provided strategic alignment of the project portfolio with long-term organizational goals. The development of organizational competence demands purposeful efforts at all organizational levels and long-term investments in human capital, knowledge management systems, and technological infrastructure supporting project activities.
