Investment and innovation component of cooperation between Russia and China in special economic zones

Анотація

The article considered the theoretical aspects that characterize the essence of special economic zones (SEZ) and the purposes of their creation. The features of SEZ as one of the promising tools for attracting investment, implementing innovative ideas, increasing import substitution and developing new markets were noted. The development of various types of special economic zones in Russia was analyzed. The Chinese experience of forming free economic zones was considered. The key advantages and possibilities of its application in Russia were highlighted. The study paid attention to the issue of using and influencing digital technologies on the development of special economic zones. The need for investment in high-tech sectors of the economy and innovation, as well as the implementation of digital technologies within the SEZ was substantiated. The largest Russian-Chinese investment projects in the SEZ were also noted and proposals for their development were developed. The expansion of Russian-Chinese cooperation involves diversification of the structure and increasing bilateral trade. This will stimulate the development of investment and innovation partnerships and an increase in the number of jointly implemented projects in the production and infrastructure sectors. The results of the study are of interest to scientists and practitioners in the field of formation and effective development of SEZs, as well as the design of innovative areas of cooperation in special economic zones both on the part of Russia and China.
