CURRENT STATE OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITIES IN UKRAINE

Анотація

The article investigates scientific and innovation activities of enterprises and organizations of Ukraine, determines the dependence of the country's competitiveness on the world level on these indicators and analyzes negative tendencies. It is noted that only those countries are the leaders in the index of global competitiveness which position themselves as exporters of high-tech equipment and advanced technologies. Ukraine is not yet able to compete with innovative countries. The results of the analysis of innovation activity of enterprises have identified several features of ensuring innovation sustainability of the national economy: the largest number of inventions and innovations has taken place in the processing industry; innovative activities of Ukrainian enterprises have decreased and, as the result, the pace of innovation sustainability has been reduced; the introduction of outdated technologies, which could be considered pseudo-innovations, has taken place. The problem of science financing remains the most acute one during the years of Ukrainian independence. It is established that nominal increase in the number of scientific organizations cannot serve as an indicator of the intensification of scientific and technological activities. To a large extent, this is the result of the downsizing of existing scientific institutions in the process of their corporatization and converting into joint-stock companies. It is offered to develop the infrastructure of innovation markets, to increase the motivation of developers to innovate and to aim at achieving the level of innovative developments that is relevant to the world one.
