Analysis of Science and Technology Development of Countries
Анотація
In current conditions, the development of the scientific and technological industry of each country is one of the critical aspects of strengthening the economic potential of the country. It is among the priority areas of state policy. An objective assessment of the scientific and technical level of the state is the basis for the effective management of state financial resources and for ensuring the sustainable development of the economy and the growth of the well-being of its citizens. The approach proposed in the article to the calculation of the Complex Index of Science and Technology Development makes it possible to carry out such an assessment. This index can also be used to assess the innovative potential of the state. The article calculates a Complex Index of Science and Technology Development for EU countries and Ukraine and analyzes the obtained results.
