HUMANIZATION OF SCIENCE AS A RESPONSE TO THE CHALLENGES OF SOCIALLY TURBULENT SPACE

Анотація

The issue of the need to humanize various spheres of social life in the conditions of socially turbulent space is actualized. Humanistic principles and goals must be introduced into education, politics, social governance, and the information sphere. The humanization of science as a sphere that has perhaps the most powerful potential to respond to the devastating consequences of the formation of a global turbulent space plays a special role. The article considers science as a center of axiological stability, a space for the formation of important worldviews and values of mankind. But in order to do so, it must itself go through a thorough process of humanization and humanitarianization.It is emphasized that humanization as a response of science to the challenges of a socially turbulent society is caused by a disharmony between the spiritual, ethical and material development of mankind. Since the middle of the last century, along with the statement of the fact of alienation of science from man in the works of philosophers, there is a call to return to it. The humanization of science as a process of turning science to human problems is developing in the reorientation of scientific research under the influence of post-classical rationality and the change of anthropo- and sociocentric goals of scientific and technological progress to ecocentric. The main directions of humanization of science include the responsibility of scientists to society for the results and consequences of their research, theoretical justification of equilibrium nature management, overcoming one-sidedness and absolutization of rational-experimental method of cognition, and democratization of internal relations in science. It is emphasized that in order to purposefully address strategic issues of humanitarian development, it is necessary to rely on the concept of humanization of education, science, politics, government, society.Key words: science, humanization, socially turbulent space, humanitarian development, innovations.
