INVESTMENT POLICY IN THE SYSTEM OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS: THE CASE OF DENMARK

The article analyzes Denmark’s investment policy as an effective model that combines openness to foreign capital with the protection of national interests. It explores the legal framework, regulatory institutions, and the influence of EU membership in shaping a transparent and predictable investment climate. Denmark’s approach emphasizes economic liberalism, stability, and trust in public institutions, which together ensure an attractive environment for domestic and international investors. The study highlights the mechanisms of investment screening for sectors sensitive to national security, the role of bilateral and multilateral investment agreements, and the creation of incentives to encourage innovation and sustainable growth.Special attention is given to the activities of government agencies such as *Invest in Denmark* and *Copenhagen Capacity*, which provide practical support for investors, ensuring transparency and efficiency at all stages of investment projects. The article also discusses Denmark’s leadership in green technologies and its strategy to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, which strengthens its image as a sustainable and forward-looking economy. The combination of digitalized governance, efficient labor markets, high human capital, and minimal bureaucratic barriers contributes to Denmark’s competitiveness in the global economy.The research concludes that Denmark’s investment policy not only secures stable economic growth but also enhances its international influence through economic diplomacy and “soft power”. This experience provides valuable insights for countries in transition, especially for Ukraine in the context of post-war reconstruction. Adapting Denmark’s balanced approach–open yet secure, liberal yet strategically focused–could help Ukraine develop a resilient, innovative, and investor-friendly economy.
