Identifying Risk of Financial Toxicity in Newly Diagnosed Patients With Cancer
Анотація
The cost of cancer care can result in financial toxicity for newly diagnosed patients with cancer. Implementing a standardized evaluation and referral system may help identify and support those at risk. Cancer remains one of the most financially burdensome medical conditions globally, with projections of continued rising cost of care. The projected U.S. cost of cancer care in 2030 is estimated at $246 billion, representing a 34% increase in care (Mariotto et al., 2020).
