HOUSING SUBSIDIES IN THE CONTEXT OF SOCIAL SECURITY

Анотація

The article is devoted to the analysis of housing subsidies in the context of current trends in social security. The concept of housing subsidies has been studied and their role in the context of social security has been determined. It is established that housing subsidies are usually provided to citizens to pay for housing and communal services, various costs associated with the efficient management of housing stock, and to pay for the purchase of liquefied gas, liquid and solid household fuel. The article highlights the main types of services for which subsidies are provided in Ukraine. The list is quite extensive and concerns two key areas of expenditure of such assistance: for the repayment of utility bills and for payment for subscription services. The factors that affect the quality and efficiency of housing subsidies in the country have been considered: first, the martial law in the country, which negatively affects all aspects of human life, second, price increases and inflation, and third, a number of other factors that are challenges for both individual households and social security in general. The article analyzes the statistical data on the volume of housing subsidies provided to the population of Ukraine in 2023-2024. The foreign experience of certain aspects of housing subsidization in France, Lithuania and Poland is reflected. Recommendations for improving housing subsidies in the context of social security are proposed.
