SEMANTIC STRUCTURE OF THE CONCEPT GLOBALIZATION
Анотація
The article deals with the analysis of the semantic-and-cognitive aspects of objectification of the concept GLOBALIZATION on the basis of the UNO document Agenda 21. The research has proved that the concept GLOBALIZATION is a universal concept of the English model of the world, and its semantic structure includes such notions as: evolutionism in the temporary dimension, evolutionism in the spatial dimension, universality, and integration. The verbal basis of the notion ‘international cooperation’ has been expanded and a new terminological unit ‘a global partnership’ has started functioning in the discourse of international relations and other professional discourses to denote a new type of cooperation among the states. The notion ‘humanity’ has been specified as ‘the international community’. The evaluative zone of the concept GLOBALIZATION includes the characteristic ‘equitable’ that marks the substantive (moral-and-legal) aspect of the concept and stresses the socially reformative potential of the global program of sustainable development presented in Agenda 21.
