Анотація
The formation of career competence of future economists is an important task of modern higher education, which is due to rapid changes in the labor market, digital transformation of the economy and growing demands for professional mobility and flexibility of specialists. Traditional educational models do not always take into account individual expectations of students, their motives for career development and professional self-realization. In this context, the study of student expectations as a factor in the formation of career competence is of particular importance, which allows adapting educational strategies to the real needs of higher education applicants. The purpose of the article is to analyze student expectations regarding professional development and the formation of career competence of future bachelors in business economics based on the results of an online survey. Research methods: survey of students of economic specialties of higher education institutions of Ukraine; descriptive statistics to identify the main trends; comparative analysis to establish differences between groups of respondents by course of study, level of motivation; interpretation of open-ended answers of students; data analysis in Microsoft Excel. Results: it was determined that the main motives for choosing the profession of economist are the versatility of the specialty, financial stability, career growth prospects and interest in analytical work. The need for students to develop digital skills, in particular work with analytical programs, as well as the lack of practical experience due to limited internship opportunities, was established. An insufficient level of formation of professional and digital competencies was revealed with a sufficiently high self-assessment of soft skills. The relevance of improving the content of educational programs to meet the requirements of the labor market was confirmed. Conclusions: the development of career competence of future economists requires strengthening the practical component of training, expanding internship opportunities, integrating modern digital technologies into the educational process, as well as introducing career counseling. The results of the survey demonstrate the need for flexible updating of educational programs in accordance with student expectations and labor market needs
