SOCIAL WORK WITH LOW INCOME POPULATIONS AS THE WAY TO OVERCOME POVERTY

Анотація

Poverty in Ukraine has become significant in scale and pace of development, which is a serious political and socio-economic problem. Therefore, it is necessary to clearly define a strategy for poverty eradication and to minimize the rate of its escalation and development the article analyzes work with low-income groups of the population as a way of overcoming poverty, discloses the concept of social which is a system of state guarantee of the rights of Ukrainian citizens to provide them with material support in the event of full, partial or temporary disability, loss of breadwinner, unemployment from independent from them circumstances, as well as in old age and in other cases stipulated by the legislation of Ukraine. The system of protection, which has three components: assistance, insurance, justice, is analyzed. The ways of improving the system of protection in Ukraine are highlighted. The main directions of the state's activities in the field of security are characterized, namely: the reform of the insurance system; pension reform; reform of assistance system; improvement of the system of protection of invalids, veterans of war and labor; protection of citizens who suffered as a result of man-made and ecological disasters; improvement of the health care system.
