Provision of digital services as one of the types of business activity

Анотація

The article highlights the specifics of activities in the provision of digital services in the context of entrepreneurship development. It is highlighted that with the advent of the fourth industrial evolution and the era of digitalization, most spheres of social life began to use digital technologies. An analysis of the works of Ukrainian scientists dedicated to the creation and implementation of digital services, as well as some foreign researchers in this field of activity, was carried out. A number of methods that were used in this study are highlighted. It is indicated that in the last 3 years, significant steps have been taken in Ukraine towards the legal regulation of activities in the digital space, in particular, two laws have been adopted. The basic definition of the concept of "digital service" is presented in the Law of Ukraine "On Digital Content and Digital Services". The types of digital services are distinguished and graphically displayed. It also shows the types of digital services that can be attributed to entrepreneurial activity. A SWOT analysis of positive and negative aspects of conducting business in the context of providing digital services was carried out. It is indicated that the main condition for the implementation and consumption of a digital service is the availability of appropriate equipment (gadget) and software. The problem of the lack of adequate statistical information on business activities for the provision of digital services in Ukraine has been established. It is proposed to implement the achievements of digitization in business activities and actively promote the development of digital services, as well as to conduct further scientific research on this topic.
