Institutional multi-vector nature of Ukraine’s economic diplomacy in the context of global transformations

Introduction. Global transformations are significantly reshaping the structure of the world order, the nature of inter-country interactions, and the possibilities for realizing national economic interests. Therefore, a country’s economic diplomacy must be grounded in an institutional framework capable of responding to contemporary challenges and threats. This article examines the features of the formation of the institutional multi-vector nature of Ukraine’s economic diplomacy under conditions of global change. Research Methods. The study applies a combination of institutional, interdisciplinary, and applied approaches to the analysis of institutional support for economic diplomacy. In particular, a systems approach is employed to analyze the institutional structure of economic diplomacy; methods of analysis and synthesis are used to generalize the impact of economic factors on the global order; a network approach is applied to examine the interaction among various institutions in the implementation of economic diplomacy; SWOT analysis is used to identify strengths and weaknesses of the institutional framework of Ukraine’s economic diplomacy; as well as tabular and graphical methods. Results. The current state of economic globalization and the economic characteristics of each stage of the formation of the world order are analyzed. It is confirmed that under the influence of global challenges, economic diplomacy is undergoing transformation. A structure of the institutional multi-vector nature of Ukraine’s economic diplomacy is proposed, manifested through the combined influence of various actors in promoting national economic interests. Key institutions involved in the implementation of Ukraine’s economic diplomacy are identified, with particular emphasis on the role of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Opportunities and threats to the institutional support of Ukraine’s economic diplomacy are detailed, and the necessity of strengthening coordination among the main institutions is substantiated. Conclusions. The institutional multi-vector nature of economic diplomacy is a key factor in ensuring sustainable economic development and Ukraine’s integration under conditions of global transformations. Its further development and successful integration into global economic processes require coherence and coordination of actions, as well as institutional modernization.
