МУНІЦИПАЛЬНІ БАНКИ ЯК ФІНАНСОВІ ІНСТИТУТИ СИСТЕМИ МІСЦЕВОГО САМОВРЯДУВАННЯ

Анотація

The purpose of the paper is to study the need for the creation of municipal banks as financial institutions of the local self-government system and to formulate proposals on the mechanism for their functioning on the ground. Methodology of research. To achieve the goal, the following general scientific and special methods of research are used: observation, generalization, comparison and analysis, abstract-logical method. Findings. According to the results of studying the domestic experience of functioning of banking institutions, the place of municipal banks as financial institutions of the local self-government system in the banking system, especially at the local level, has been determined, proposals have been made to improve the mechanism of their functioning. Practical value. The article compares the activities of different types of banking institutions at the level of territorial and administrative units, determines their differences, identifies the prerequisites for the creation of municipal banks, formulates proposals for their development in the system of local self-government on the basis of improving the mechanism of their functioning.
