Professional development of personnel and its impact on the results of the company’s activities.
Анотація
The article examines professional development of personnel as a strategic factor for enhancing enterprise competitiveness in the 21st century. In the conditions of the BANI world, characterized by brittleness, anxiety, non-linearity, and incomprehensibility, human capital becomes a key resource for ensuring competitive advantages of companies. Subject of study: professional development of personnel and its impact on enterprise performance indicators in the context of digital economy and exponential technological changes. The aim of the study: to analyze the significance of professional development for ensuring economic and social results of enterprise activities, and to determine modern mechanisms and methods of professional development relevant to contemporary challenges. Research methods. The research employs a systemic approach to examining professional development as a complex system, a competence-based approach for analyzing key competencies, a human-centered approach considering individual employee needs, and a contextual approach accounting for BANI-world specifics. The methodology includes comparative analysis of 20th and 21st-century approaches, empirical data analysis from international research, and conceptual modeling. Results of work. The authors propose an original definition of professional development as a continuous, strategically oriented, and technologically supported process. Four key aspects are identified: managerial, competence-based, human-centered, and technological. A conceptual model of 21st-century personnel professional development has been developed. Comparative analysis reveals that companies with comprehensive training programs have 218% higher revenue per employee and 24% higher profit margins. The impact of professional development on key performance indicators is established: labor productivity, product/service quality, innovation, employee loyalty, and financial results. The transformation from episodic training to a strategic system of organizational capability formation is demonstrated. Research results can be applied by enterprise managers, HR professionals, and organizational development consultants for building effective personnel professional development systems, optimizing training investments, and enhancing enterprise competitiveness in conditions of rapid technological and market changes.
