IMPACT OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES ON EDUCATION IN THE ERA OF THE FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

Анотація

The relevance of the study is that the impact of digital technologies in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on general education is one of the most popular in theoretical terms and in demand in practical terms. The modern labor market has created the need to train highly qualified personnel, and therefore, the use of innovative technologies in the educational space is becoming more relevant. The purpose of the article is to conceptualize the impact of digital technologies on education in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Research objectives: 1) to study the evolution of education development from 4G to 5G technical capabilities; 2) to find out the place and role of ICT (information and communication technologies) in the educational process and identify their advantages and disadvantages; 3) to analyze the types of ICT and systems as factors for improving the educational process; 4) to consider artificial intelligence, blockchain and virtual reality as promising innovative technologies. The problems of studying digital technologies in the educational process have been addressed by such scholars as: V. Voronkova, N. Vengerska, O. Kivliuk, R. Oleksenko, I. Ryzhova, D. Svyrydenko, S. Terepyshchyi, A. Strizhak. The essence of the concept of “digital education” is interpreted by researchers depending on the field of activity. There is a need to analyze existing research points of view to clarify the content of the concept of “information and communication technologies” and their impact on the educational process. Research methods. The methods of studying the current state of development and use of digital educational content are the methods of system analysis, axiological, system-structural, which summarize and systematize the results of research on the use of digital content in education. The result of the study. In the article, one of the priority tasks of an educational institution is not only the acquisition of theoretical knowledge by students, but also the development of the ability to use information technology, to independently obtain and analyze information. 1. Thus, digital technologies in the educational process contribute to the acquisition of knowledge and skills necessary for life and work in modern society. They allow students to adapt to information flows, increase the computer literacy of the population and promote the acquisition of skills of the twentyfirst century. The practical significance of the research topic is that the use of digital educational technologies broadens students’ horizons, opens up new opportunities for acquiring knowledge in the most structured and understandable form.
