Economic Sanctions: a Tool for Protecting of International Law or a Means of Aggressive Economic Policy
Анотація
The article deals with the problems of using such an international legal instrument as sanctions. In the paper are studied theoretical aspects of the application of sanctions from the standpoint of international law and international economic relations. There is considered the practical side of implementing sanctions instruments in the Twenty-First Century. The author made an attempt to assess the impact of sanctions on the volume of World Trade and on the total gross domestic product formed on the scale of the world economy as a whole. Finally, there are outlined promising areas of research on the issue of sanctions in the context of the proposed study.
