SCIENTIFIC AND METHODICAL APPROACH TO THE EVALUATION OF THE UNTAPPED INTELLECTUAL RESERVE OF A TRADING ENTERPRISE

In today's economic development the key basis of a commercial enterprise intellectual potential effective development is comprehensive analysis, planning activity, forecasting and strategic management of all its elements. All these processes should be based on the identification of the intellectual capabilities and ensuring the optimal balance between the intellectual potential and its unused intellectual reserve. In today's economic practice there is no general, universal scientific and methodological approach as for the commercial enterprises unused intellectual reserve estimation. The degree of the theoretical and methodological works on this problem does not give the opportunity to meet the requirements of the intellectual potential management, which justifies the topicality of this problem.
\nThe main problem of the intellectual potential and its reserve estimation is connected with the fact that there's no particular definition of the intellectual potential as part of the total trade enterprise economic potential in scientific literature. That is why it is very difficult to estimate, develop and use in practice all the potential possibilities of the intellectual potential in order to reach a higher competitiveness in the market.
\nThe main idea of the given research is to develop a scientific and methodical approach to the estimation of the intellectual reserve, that is important part of the effective intellectual potential management of a commercial enterprise.
\nTo the author's mind, commercial enterprise's intellectual potential is determined by its ability to use possibilities of each intellectual potential element, which will provide its growth, because possibilities can develop the intellectual potential systematically and continuously.
\nCommercial enterprise intellectual abilities can be represented as intellectual potential and intellectual abilities. At the same time the difference between the intellectual potential and intellectual opportunities is identified by the intellectual development.
\nIn order to make intellectual potential management more effective at commercial enterprises, the author proposed a scientific and methodical approach to the estimation of the intellectual reserve. This approach, in contrast to the cuffent ones, gives a possibility to make a triune assessment of the intellectual potential of the maximum opportrunities level and the unused intellectual reserve, and identify the potential growth direction, based on the gap between the current state of the intellectual possibilities use and the highest possible level.
\nGeneral scientific and mathematical methods of economic analysis and economic processes modeling methods were used in this research.
\nA system of indicators for a commercial enterprise intellectual potential growth development estimation was worked out as a result of the research. 
\nA scientific and methodical approach to the estimation of unused intellectual reserve was formed and a time-phased intellectual potential opportunities development model was presented.
\nThis research makes it possible to draw a conclusion that the main idea of the commercial enterprise intellectual potential management process is to minimize the gap between the integral indicator of the intellectual potential tetracentric kernel and the current opportunities or to make more efficient the use of the current capabilities in order to pay more attention to the potential possibilities, that can make the commercial enterprise intellectual potential cost higher and provide a high level of long-term competitiveness in the market.
\nThe results of the research can be practically used in the intellectual potential reserve estimation process. The results of this estimation are presented in the graphic-analytical presentation, that allows an enterprise to identify the existing intellectual reserves and use them in future economic activity.
