RESEARCH THEORIES OF REGIONAL CONVERGENCE IN GLOBAL ECONOMY

Анотація

In the article the basic theory of regional economic growth and development. Systematized areas and schools theories of regional development, disclosed their content, set the main factors dew and Development, highlighted the strengths and deficiencies of other theories and models from the standpoint of their possible application in the real world socio-economic transformation in the country.  Objective - to establish the possibility of using models that are based on other theories in real terms over Ukraine.  The method of research - logical analysis to summarize the theoretical foundations of the theory of other regions and visual-graphic method - to present the results of empirical research in visual form.  Additional significance of the problem investigated, has need of systematization of modern economic theories and their correlation with the dominant paradigms of the world's socio-economic development.  The main stage of the conceptual study is theoretical study of foreign experience of regional economic development and convergence of models to identify the nature of the integration process and the nature of their origin.  Historically multiple theories of regional growth is divided into four areas: neoclassical theory of convergence theory of cumulative growth, new regional growth theory and other theories to explain individual private or regional development.  The analysis of the theories and models of regional economic development demonstrated their large number and variety, and they were created and tested on the concepts of development in various countries, which precludes direct application of foreign theories and models, requiring prior adaptation to the Ukrainian reality. For today's level of socio-economic development of Ukrainian regions, possible use of combined model, composed of theories cumulative direction - mutual cumulative causation, growth poles; nonclassical - convergence or convergence; New theories - spatial effects and others - raw materials and theories sectors.
