VISUAL AND VERBAL FORMS OF SOCIO-CULTURAL ADAPTATION USING THE EXAMPLES OF THE IMAGE AND RHETORIC OF UKRAINIAN MIGRANTS
Анотація
In the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Ukrainian migrants are forced to look for ways of sociocultural adaptation. It was established that socio-cultural adaptation is a specially organized process of training an individual, aimed at acquiring his individual socio-cultural integrity. Every person in the course of his entire life and professional activity masters the most common and vitally necessary elements not only of his culture, the culture of his historical homeland, but also elements of the culture of other states in which it may appear for various reasons. It is emphasized that sociocultural adaptation is often associated with the communicative and rhetorical image of migrants in scientific studies. It is summarized that in the conditions of migration, the significance of bilingual communication increases, with the need to ensure mutual understanding of communicators in the process of dialogic interaction. The main purpose of the means of verbal communication of Ukrainian migrants is to establish, support, and develop meaningful informational contact with representatives of the host country. With the help of words and rhetoric, Ukrainian migrants make clear the meaning of phenomena and events, express their thoughts, emotions, worldview. Non-verbal communication within the framework of the study of the image of Ukrainian migrants is understood as a type of transmission that can be carried out by any means other than verbal or linguistic. The result of socio-cultural adaptation of migrants largely depends on internal and external factors of verbal and non-verbal communication, which change at different levels of interaction of adaptation strategies of individual behavior. It is concluded that the communicative side of life becomes a resource of socio-cultural knowledge about the image of Ukrainian migrants. It not only most adequately reflects the dynamics of the constantly updated social order and fits into the individual experience of Ukrainian migrants, their personal picture of the world, but also changes the meaning of the surrounding world in the mind through the implementation of verbal and non-verbal forms of adaptation. The knowledge formed and acquired in the processes of visual communication is also institutionalized "special knowledge". The internalized socio-cultural experience of the communicative activity of Ukrainian migrants, which is transmitted through verbal and non-verbal channels of communication – knowledge that structures routinized interpretations and behavior within the framework of the socio-cultural sphere
