SUBJECTS OF COUNTERINTELLIGENCE PROTECTION OF CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE OF UKRAINE

Анотація

The purpose of the article is to determine the legal status and role of the subjects of counterintelligence protection of the critical infrastructure of Ukraine.Results.The article notes that the subjects of counterintelligence protection of Ukraine's critical infrastructure include bodies and structures designated as specially authorized state authorities in the field of counterintelligence activity.These bodies include the Security Service of Ukraine and intelligence agencies.It is determined that, in accordance with current legislation, law enforcement and other public authorities assist the bodies and units of the Security Service of Ukraine in carrying out counterintelligence activities in the interests of ensuring state security, including counterintelligence protection of critical infrastructure.Conclusions.It is revealed that the Security Service of Ukraine is the main special subject of counterintelligence activity, which is determined by the scope of its powers and responsibility in the field of critical infrastructure protection.In accordance with the tasks assigned to it, the Security Service of Ukraine addresses complex issues of ensuring counterintelligence protection of the state's critical infrastructure in the following areas: counterintelligence activity and protection; planning and implementation of state policy measures in the field of counterintelligence protection of critical infrastructure (including identification of threats and coordination of actions with other subjects of the state critical infrastructure protection system to neutralize them); strategic planning of the use of appropriate forces and resources (which provides for the development of optimal strategies for responding to threats and actions in the event of crisis situations); expert assessment of threats and risks; interaction, coordination, and control over the performance of tasks in the field of counterintelligence protection of critical infrastructure by other bodies of the security and defense sector; organization of counterintelligence protection of critical infrastructure through the implementation of a set of organizational, regulatory, engineering and technical, scientific, and other measures to ensure the security and resilience of the functioning of critical infrastructure.
