Information Policy Of Ukraine: Content And Thematic Characteristics

Introduction. In the modern functioning of society, information is one of the key resources for participation in the adaptive and personal development of a person. In the 21st century, information appears not only as an evolutionary, but also as a strategic value of society, which is in the interaction of domestic and foreign political ways of implementing information policy and content and thematic support of representation in society and is one of the important factors in ensuring the power of the state. As a result of the processes of informatization and the technical revolution, the formation of an information society took place. Relevance and purpose. The study of the functioning of Ukraine’s information policy in terms of content and thematic characteristics is due to the growing importance of information in modern society, especially in the context of information warfare, information and psychological operations, digital transformation and hybrid threats that operate in the information space. The purpose of the article is to analyze Ukraine’s information policy in terms of content and thematic characteristics and to identify its key aspects, mechanisms of implementation and influence on socio-political processes. Methodology. The research methodology is based on a comprehensive and systematic approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis. We used the following methods: analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, content analysis and discourse analysis. Results. Ukraine’s information policy performs a number of key functions aimed at ensuring information sovereignty and state security. The analysis of Ukraine’s information policy is accompanied by a serious promotional presentation and content and thematic characteristics of the content of the information space. Conclusions. The information policy of Ukraine is comprehensive and dynamic, adapted to modern challenges and focused on supporting democratic values. The sphere of modern information functioning is oriented towards strengthening national security, countering disinformation and forming a positive image of the state in the international information environment.
