The article provides an in-depth analysis of the impact of cluster structures on the economic development of the Lviv region, highlighting the specific conditions and contemporary challenges faced by the region. The study underscores the growing importance of clustering as a powerful tool for enhancing regional competitiveness, fostering innovation, optimizing resource allocation, and strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration. The research identifies clusters as key drivers of regional growth, capable of integrating local economies into global value chains while ensuring long-term economic sustainability. The study identifies and examines critical factors influencing the efficiency and success of cluster models. These factors include geographic location, resource accessibility, the state of existing infrastructure, and the capacity to integrate into global networks of added value. Additionally, attention is paid to the role of governmental support, emphasizing the necessity of creating enabling conditions through financial incentives, infrastructure modernization, and the implementation of institutional reforms aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration. The analysis highlights significant positive outcomes of clustering for the Lviv region's economy, including increased production volumes, the creation of high-quality jobs, enhanced export capabilities, and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises. Furthermore, the study reveals that clustering significantly boosts innovation activity among regional enterprises, enabling them to develop cutting-edge solutions and maintain competitiveness in global markets. Despite the benefits, the study also acknowledges certain challenges associated with clustering, such as the risk of uneven resource distribution, potential overloading of transport and social infrastructure, and excessive dependency on specific sectors. However, these challenges are outweighed by the substantial economic and social advantages that clusters bring to the region. In conclusion, the research substantiates the need for proactive adoption of cluster-oriented policies as a strategic priority for regional development. By leveraging the potential of clusters, the Lviv region can ensure sustainable economic growth, strengthen its position in global markets, and achieve long-term resilience in an increasingly interconnected global economy.
