ЦІННІСНІ ЗМІНИ ТА «РОЗРИВ ПОКОЛІНЬ»: ЇХ ВПЛИВ НА УЧАСТЬ МОЛОДІ У ПУБЛІЧНІЙ ПОЛІТИЦІ

Анотація

The world in which we are living now is full of rapid changes on a global scale, in the European, national and local community levels – one of the most crucial of which is the demographic factor. People are not only living longer, but with much higher probability will change traditional identities and their parent’s lifestyles, ways of working and interacting with others.The concept of generations started in 1920–30s. In the late 1990–2000s empirical descriptions of growing polarisation among generations (so-called «age gap») were correlated with: (1) historical experience of different generation cohorts; (2) cultures of different generations and (3) structural inequalities between age groups. The most common tool for measuring value differences is through the World Values Survey.The paper objective is to examine influence of «generational gap» on value changes and the contemporary relations of different generations to politics and public policies.Value priorities of concrete nations are quite inert and form the specific core of national mentality, the values had been repeatedly transformed within the society thought different age cohorts and influence on the formation of a «generational gap», which can provoke different kinds of revolutions. Youth in Ukraine has clearly defined the difficult choices that confront one of the biggest dilemma: to stay in the county of birth or to leave it for more safe and convenient place for living, where the opportunity of higher wages is greater.The main objectives for contemporary Ukrainian government and society are to propose the young generation strong messages and obvious positive reforms. Without a holistic policy concentrated on social inclusion, the enclosure of young people in social and political life, it is difficult to expect that the younger generation will be interested in staying in Ukraine.
