DIGITALIZATION AND GREENING OF BUSINESS PROCESSES IN THE SYSTEM OF INNOVATIVE DEVELOPMENT OF AGRO-INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISES

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problems of digitalization and greening of business processes in the system of innovative development of agro-industrial enterprises. The relevance of the research topic is driven by intensifying global climate change, resource constraints, geopolitical instability, and the accelerated digital transformation of economic systems, which create new requirements for managing agro-industrial production in ways that align sustainability, innovation, and environmental balance. The aim of the study is to improve the theoretical and methodological foundations for the digital–ecological transformation of business processes in agro-industrial enterprises within their innovative development system, thereby enhancing management efficiency, resource conservation, and the environmental balance of production. The article examines the evolution of scientific approaches to innovation, digitalization, and the greening of economic systems, and summarizes the views of foreign and domestic scholars on the development of sustainable business models and digital management ecosystems. The conceptual interaction of innovation-evolutionary, digital-technological, environmentally sustainable, and institutional-ESG paradigms of agro-industrial enterprise development is substantiated. It is determined that digitalization serves as a technological basis for business process transformation, greening as a normative-value guideline of sustainable development, innovation as a mechanism of economic dynamics, and the institutional environment as a condition for implementing systemic changes. The theoretical and methodological foundations of the digital–ecological transformation of agro-industrial enterprises are strengthened by developing an integrated paradigmatic model that, unlike existing approaches that treat digitalization, greening, innovation, and institutional development as separate processes, ensures their systemic integration within a unified multi-level management framework. This makes it possible to build a holistic, data-driven, and ESG-oriented model of enterprise innovation development, increase business process management efficiency, ensure resource conservation and environmental balance in production, and strengthen the competitiveness of agro-industrial enterprises in the global economic environment. The practical value of the proposed integrated model of digital–ecological transformation of agro-industrial enterprises lies in its use as a tool for designing, evaluating, and optimizing business processes by integrating digital technologies, environmental standards, and innovative management decisions.
